Experience the IPA Physio Difference

Better physical therapy for a better life.

Unsurpassed Expertise

Our physical therapists are CFMTs who’ve mastered 250 hours of post-doctoral material, often repeating it 2-3 times, dedicating over 700 hours, concluding with a rigorous week-long certification process. This equals what an average physical therapist completes in their entire career (30 hours every two years).

Many CFMTs also finish FMT residency and fellowship programs, adding hundreds of mentorship hours from top therapists. This certification is considered one of the most in-depth and strenuous manual therapy certifications.

Some professional designations our clinicians have:

  • DPT: Doctor of Physical Therapy
  • MSPT: Masters of Science in Physical Therapy
  • CFMT: Certified in Functional Manual Therapy®
  • CAFMT: Certified Assistant in Functional Manual Therapy®
  • FFMT: Fellow in Functional Manual Therapy®
  • FAAOMPT: Fellow of the American Academy of Orthopedic Manual Physical Therapists

Your Choice for Physiotherapy

Your body = Your choice. When it comes to physical therapy (globally recognized as physiotherapy), you have the right to choose your physical therapist. You do not have to go where your doctor recommends. Studies show better results when you make choices for your healthcare. Choose the best. Choose IPA Physio.

IPA Physio was a result of the founder Ryan Johnson aiming to fix two broken aspects to the conventional physical therapy model. The first and most important was patient care. Traditionally, conventional practices would treat multiple patients during the same hour.

This led to:

  • Practices prioritizing interventions for which insurance reimburses the most.
  • Maximizing time spent with PT Aids and Students who get reimbursed by insurance at the same rate as a licensed PT.
  • Booking multiple patients at the same time, diluting 1-on-1 care.
  • Not having enough time to get to the root of the issues.

Instead, Ryan created a model that would maximize the potential of a physical therapist to address client needs in a greater depth through hour-long appointments. IPA Physio became a viable alternative option to find resolutions to problems that were not being solved by conventional practices. Without out of network practices like IPA Physio, those struggling would be out of luck and stuck with suffering.

The second aspect was the burnout that affected physical therapists attempting to treat patients while also running their practices. Ryan wanted to empower clinicians who already demonstrated an excellence in patient care to be part of a bigger organization. This would help reduce the struggle of starting and operating a business through a network for support through administrative personnel and other clinicians. It became a unified community solely focused on providing the highest quality of care.
