Before Your Visit

Many of your general questions and billing information will be addressed on our main FAQ and Billing page. The information below addresses unique regulations related to our Orange County location.
- We are an out-of-network (OON) provider. Insurance benefits vary, but you may be responsible for the entire cost of treatment.
- If you are unsure of your OON benefits please contact our office so that we can verify your benefits.
- The typical recommended initial course of treatment is between 4-6 treatment sessions.
- Every appointment is 1 hour one-on-one with a physical therapist, so that you receive the best possible care and expedite your recovery.
Orange County’s Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need a prescription to start physical therapy at IPA Physio OC?
Under California State law, you may receive direct physical therapy treatment for a period of up to 45 calendar days or 12 visits, whichever occurs first. If treatment is necessary past these parameters, we will need to obtain a prescription from your physician or equivalent medical professional. We are happy to assist in obtaining the required information, and prefer to work closely and collaboratively with the rest of your healthcare team from the outset. For this reason, we will ask you for your referring provider’s information during the intake process.
How long can I be seen at IPA Physio OC without a prescription?
Does IPA Physio OC accept Workers Comp or liens?
Can I get dry needling at IPA Physio OC?
